We are looking for a Forklift/ Warehouse Operative to join the team.

We specialise in the supply of Insulation and Building materials. Based in Woodplumpton, Preston, Lancashire, PR4 0TD.

Good rates of pay dependant on age and experience.
Full Time, Permanent position.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7am- 5pm (45 hr week) No weekend or evening shifts. Closed over Christmas/ New Year & All Bank Holidays.

Full Driving Licence as position involves some van deliveries.
Self-motivated, positive, enthusiastic person required with a can do attitude. A great communicator at all levels in the business and a willingness to learn new skills. Work well as a team, be driven to work independently and excel in customer service.

Dealing with Goods in & out. Provide a clean and safe environment for yourself and others. Manage the warehouses, moving and organising stock, monitoring stock levels, re-ordering, picking and packing to order. Ensure the efficient, timely and secure passage of stock through the warehouse from receipt to despatch, continually striving to improve the processes and procedures to work efficiency.

Initially specialising in Insulation materials and now progressing towards more general building materials to better serve our increasing customer demands. Onsite retail unit opening soon.

Job Role
First point of contact dealing with customers face to face. Enthusiasm to assist the customer, be able to share your knowledge and provide product information at a level that suits customers individually from DIY to professional. Work closely with management to ensure smooth operations. Computer literate, (Kerridge/ Klipboard software currently in use) Process orders, deal with counter collections, generate quotes and pass leads to the sales team. Handle payments and proformas. Have a proactive approach to product sales and upselling when the opportunity arises. Manage stock & organise displays. Oversee the general logistics of the retail area, ensuring a safe and tidy working environment for everyone.

You need.
Excellent customer service skills, Great work ethic, be motivated and have a positive approach. Product knowledge an advantage. Knowledge of using current software also an advantage. Great rapport with customers and Suppliers. A willingness to learn, be part of a team and work independently. Confidence to communicate well and a natural ability to generate new/ ongoing business.
