π Recognised internationally and led by the US National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Fire Prevention Week has been raising fire safety awareness every October since 1922.
π₯ It's Fire Prevention Week (4β10 October)
When something does go wrong, it's the building's passive fire protection that buys people time to get out safely.
That's where certified fire doors come in. In bike stores, plant rooms, bin stores and communal areas where batteries are charged or kept, a properly specified, correctly installed fire door holds back fire and smoke and protects the escape route.
At Bradbury Group, our steel fire doors are certified from FD30 up to FD240, giving up to four hours of fire integrity, with combined security and fire certification available in one doorset.
This Fire Prevention Week, take a moment to check:
β
Are your fire doors certified for the risk they're protecting?
β
Are they closing fully and not wedged open?
β
When were they last inspected?
