Puntons DIY

Puntons DIY A DIY store and Funeral Directors run by the same family for 70 years. In 1956, as a trained joiner Jack Punton became an Undertaker.

In 1958 he sought a base for his undertaking, joinery and decorating business. He purchased 1-3 Market Place in Snaith. Jack ran the Funeral Directors and DIY Store until 1979 when he was joined by his son John. Jack died in 1999 after many years active service in the community, amongst other things walking to far lands raising thousands of pounds for the NSPCC. The businesses have been run by John and his sons since then.

Sorry, but this has been really hard to keep a secret. Carol left the BBC this morning, so we can finally announce after her local move to Cowick.... Carol Kirkwood is now part of the J Punton & Son management team. No more 3am starts Carol, just a regular 9 to 5. She'll just be working Mondays and Tuesdays until she gets settled, so feel free to pop in for some DIY goodies and the most up-to-date weather forecast.
