On 8 May 1945, victory in Europe was declared, marking the end of war on the continent. Across Britain, communities came together in relief, remembrance, and celebration united by strength, sacrifice, and an unbreakable national spirit.
As we mark VE Day, we pay tribute to the entire VE Day generation - the servicemen and women who fought for freedom, the families who endured hardship, the children who were evacuated, and the workers on the home front whose determination kept Britain moving.
At Thor, we reflect with immense pride in our British heritage. Made in Britain, our hammers have long stood beside the industries and workers who helped build, protect, and rebuild this nation. We honour the spirit of British manufacturing - strong, resilient, and enduring that has shaped our history and continues to define who we are today.
