Timber 4 U Ltd – Part-Time Job Opportunity

Driver / Yard & Workshop Assistant

Timber 4 U Ltd

Timber 4 U Ltd is looking for a reliable, hardworking and hands-on person to join our growing team.

This is a part-time role with a minimum of 15 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as the business grows.

Duties May Include:

Timber deliveries
Assisting customers in the yard and showroom
Cutting, sanding and preparing timber
General handyman duties
Keeping the yard and workshop clean and tidy
Loading and unloading materials
Helping with day-to-day operations

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence preferred
Good customer service skills
Practical / hands-on attitude
Punctual and reliable
Able to work as part of a team
Motivated and willing to get stuck in
Basic woodworking or handyman experience beneficial

What We Offer:

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to get answers following the industrial unit fire on Progress Road, Eastwood on 27 May 2023, where I lost my entire business and personal belongings.

The fire was a major incident:
β€’ Fire crews were called at 7:15am after reports of heavy smoke
β€’ Around 10 fire engines and specialist units attended
β€’ Dozens of firefighters were involved
β€’ The building and everything inside was completely destroyed
β€’ Crews remained on scene for over 36 hours
β€’ The fire was later believed to have been started deliberately

I’ve since been told there may have been ongoing concerns raised about activity at or near the site before the fire, and I’m now trying to understand what was happening leading up to it.
