📢 Important Reminder – Please Help Us Keep Our Skips Compliant
We'd like to remind all customers that there are certain items that must not be disposed of in our skip.
Unfortunately, prohibited items have recently been placed in one of our skips, resulting in a substantial charge from our waste recycling provider. These restrictions are in place to comply with environmental legislation, and any unsuitable waste can lead to significant disposal costs.
The following items are NOT accepted in our skips:
❌ Asbestos
❌ Fridges & Freezers
❌ TVs & Monitors
❌ Microwaves
❌ Tyres
❌ Batteries
❌ Aerosol Cans
❌ Paint Tins (empty or full)
❌ Fluorescent Tubes
❌ Hazardous Packaging
❌ Hazardous Chemicals
❌ Plasterboard
❌ Upholstered Domestic Seating (sofas, armchairs and other POPs items)
❌ Creosote/CCA Treated Fence Panels
❌ Telegraph Poles
❌ Railway Sleepers
❌ Gas Cylinders or Other Pressurised Containers
If you're unsure whether an item can be disposed of in one of our skips, please speak to a member of our team before placing it in the bin. We'd much rather help you find the correct disposal method than incur avoidable charges.
