We pride ourselves in providing a personal service to all our customers. We stock a vast selection of goods ranging from screw and nails to sand and ballast, pots and pans to cleaning products. We are well known for our unusual and traditional store which many describe as Aladdin's Cave. Here at J.Lawes we offer a local delivery service for all our goods including our hiab service for larger items. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Shop Assistant/Yard Hand

Full-Time, Permanent

J.Lawes ltd is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hard working individual to join our team.
Full training will be provided

Hours
• 45 hours per week

• Monday – Saturday

• One week day off each week

• Business opening hours 08:00am – 17.30pm

• Flexibility for early starts is required to prepare the premises before opening

Duties
• Serving customers

• Unloading deliveries

• Answering the telephone

• Taking customer orders

• Restocking and stock control

• Loading customer purchases

• General housekeeping of the shop and yard

Requirements-

Essential
• Good customer service skills

• Ability to work well as part of a team and as an individual

• Full UK clean driving licence

Desirable
• Reach forklift certificate (desirable, but not essential as full training can be provided)

Pay
• Pay will be dependent on experience
