Approximately 1/2 an hour to do a full set up today , that includes paint which is the most time consuming part of the job , we have set up about 7 thousand times + over the years

It's hard for businesses in the town to survive, so I hope the Council will re-think their plans to make it even harder.

I popped in to see Dereck at Tamworth Toolbox, who tells me the Council plan to charge him nearly £400 to display his goods at the front of the shop.

Surely that doesn't make sense.

And it's not just Derek. The Council have written to Jeffreys Fine Sandwiches to say they want over £200 per annum for their two tables outside.

The Council also say that their pavement signs are a trip hazard and a danger to the partially sighted - but if they pay the Council £50 per annum, they can put them out anyway !!

How does the £50 stop them from being a hazard ??

I'm praying the Council sees sense and makes every effort to support businesses in the town rather than strangling them with more costs.
