As we approach winter at an unrelenting pace (yes it’s already nearly the middle of October) you might be wondering how and when to use rock salt.

Winter, or sudden cold snaps, can be a dangerous time of year, so we recommend buying rock salt in bulk and applying it liberally to the ground. A decent covering will keep car parks, pavements and other public areas safe and prevent people from slipping over.

Use brown salt for extra traction, if you have a surface that’s notoriously slippery, or want to provide the maximum protection possible, it leaves a gritty residue when applied, giving more traction underfoot and also guards against refreezing.

Like our white salt, it’s available in 25kg bags and fits nicely in stock cupboards or storerooms without taking up too much space.

Delivering our own bagged products mainly across Yorkshire, must be good with customers and keep the vehicle clean / damage free.
Full time hours

£13 per hour

Clean licence - full CPC hours - good knowledge of local area / Yorkshire required.
