FAQ: How long will it take for my order to arrive?

A: We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions). Please note, where delivery lead times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will endeavour to keep you informed directly within 24 hours of your order being placed.

Standard delivery hours are between 8am - 6pm, Monday - Friday.
Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and will fall on the next working day.

A new floor covering can look perfect when first installed, but problems beneath the surface can quickly affect its performance.

One of the biggest considerations during subfloor preparation is moisture.

Excess moisture within a concrete or screed substrate can contribute to issues such as:
- Loss of adhesion
- Blistering or bubbling
- Floor covering failure
- Damage to adhesives and finishes

That’s why preparation and protection against moisture should happen before a flooring installation, rather than treating problems once the finished floor is already in place.

The appropriate preparation system will depend on the substrate, moisture levels and final floor covering. Understanding the conditions below the surface is the first step towards getting the installation right.

Understanding Internal Damp Proofing Membranes... how do they work, and what are they used for?

Damp can cause more than just visible staining. If moisture continues to migrate through a wall, it can damage internal finishes, affect thermal performance and contribute to an unhealthy internal environment.

Internal damp proofing membranes are designed to create a physical barrier between the damp substrate and the internal wall finish. They can be particularly useful where moisture cannot be prevented at its source, helping to manage damp and protect the finished surface.

The correct membrane and installation method will depend on the type and severity of damp, the substrate and the intended internal finish. This is why identifying the cause of the moisture is an important first step before specifying a damp proofing system.
