❄️ Most basecoats and silicone renders stop at +5°C. On a UK site that writes off a good part of December to February.
This winter we are stocking two products formulated for cold, damp conditions:
Raso W160 Winter. Fibre-reinforced skim coat and adhesive for smoothing and bonding EPS, graphite EPS and rock wool in certified ETA systems. Applied from +1°C.
Suitable substrates, indoors or outdoors:
- EPS, graphite EPS and rock wool boards (XPS for low plinth strips only)
- Lime-based and lime/cement-based plaster
- Clay brick
- Concrete and concrete blockwork
- Aerated concrete blocks (aircrete)
- Old paint and coatings, if clean, thick and well anchored
4Seasons Silicone Render Enhanced. Ready-to-use silicone topcoat for low temperatures and high humidity. Water repellent, breathable, 600+ colours. Applied from +1°C.
No additives, no accelerators, nothing extra to dose on site. For contractors this is the difference between a completion date that holds and one that slips to spring.
