I’ve been back in business on the quiet lately, done some various work on a few guitars. Today I’ve restrung, setup and serviced this Ibanez GRG170. It might be a ‘budget guitar’ but with the right setup these can be amazing

Spent the evening restoring and reconditioning some hand tools. Some I’ve owned for years, others are recent additions. Just need to spend some time sharpening, then they’re ready for use 😎

Very satisfied with the result of the weekend’s level crown and polish on my faithful old strat

I’ve been out of action for a while but am delighted to say that I’m back 😎 though Ive not been offering services publicly for a while I have been doing bits for friends here and there and would like to share some with you. This first one was for my old friend Mav who had been asked to refinish the guitar. He’s an amazing painter who has worked on cars, bikes, boats and more and has painted a few guitars in his time. My task was to dismantle the guitar prior to finishing, polish the worn hardware, service all parts then reassemble and setup the guitar when the finish had cured. Unfortunately I have no before pictures but these photos of the reassembled guitar show the great work Mav has done on the finish.
