Some good progress being made on the prototype RSG necks alongside a number of other projects.

Ebony board is 24" scale 24 frets, rosewood board is 24.56" (vintage Gibson rule of 18) 22 frets.

The ebony board neck is the thicker of the two, they aren't RS thick, but closer to that than a Gibson. The rosewood board neck is a nice chunky R7 style shape. Both feel very comfortable

That's the fretboard all buttoned up for the vintage scale length version of the RSG. A very nice dark piece of Indian rosewood with cellulose inlays and ABS binding.

Laying out the scratchplate and tremolo. The tremolo sits on a flush mounted knife edge allowing for proper smooth use.

The most recent Red Special has gone home with it's owner today. This one has a slightly different neck profile, more akin to a slightly larger PRS pattern profile. It also had a change to the wiring where it was changed to have series/parallel switch on the normally redundant middle phase switch. Works really well and gives a number of nice useable tones.

Bevels on the RSG are underway. Every one hand drawn and carved with a lovely old spokeshave.

Next up!

A really fantastic, light weight and resonant version of my Lyra model in Korina. The body and neck are from the same plank of figures timber. It's really lovely stuff.

A nice rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, double Bare knuckle P90s and a cellulose tort scratchplate really finish this off. It has a nice chunky C shape neck profile and is finished in tinted amber urethane.

Looking for £1700 ono. Open to trades of a similar value.

Something a little interesting in the works!

First up is this very fetching RS Brian May guitar finished in my "Starry Sky" finish.

An Oak and Poplar core with a mahogany front and back and side veneer. A full sized RS mahogany set neck with ebony fretboard. 24" scale length and 24 frets for 2 full octaves.

Full aluminium RS mods UK made hardware, Gotoh locking tuners and as always a sensational set of Yonderbosk pickups.

All plastics are translucent sparkle to compliment the finish.

My RS guitars start at £4000, but I'm offering this beautiful guitar up at £3000 ono.

I'll be bringing it to the RS meetup next month if anyone wants a good look/go at it.
