How does such an unbe-leaf-able facade become a reality? ✨

Our team at Architectural Facades love to hear your exciting concepts and make them happen. We loved P+HS Architects' idea to create a leaf motif on their Cumberland Endoscopy Unit project and knew that our Armourclad Metal Cladding could achieve the desired effect.

After using small, perforated holes to create each detailed leaf, larger holes were used to subtly transition from the smooth metal to the textured setting of the adjacent brickwork.

Specified in a warm bronze colour, this eye-catching design faces the public pathway giving the new facility its distinct and memorable character as people enter and leave the infirmary grounds.

Armourclad Metal Cladding brings a unique visual identity to Cumberland Infirmary 🍂

Working with P+HS Architects, the design team sought to represent the wilderness local to Carlisle, whilst also evoking meanings of life, growth and renewal for visiting patients. Using perforated panels, our team created a bespoke design of oak, ash and elm tree leaves to achieve this striking result.

Combined with brick and fibre cement cladding, the new Endoscopy Unit at Cumberland Infirmary is a benchmark for quality materials combined with specialist facade design.
