🔴 Product Spotlight: GT85 — the can that does WAY more than you think!
There are some products that just earn a permanent place in your toolbox… and for us GT85 is definitely one of them!
Most people think “lubricating spray” when they see a can of GT85. But this little black-and-red can is an absolute Swiss Army knife in aerosol form. 😂
GT85 officially lists **85 different uses** — and some of them genuinely surprised me.
Of course, it does all the usual jobs brilliantly:
🔧 Loosening seized nuts and bolts
🚲 Cleaning and protecting bike chains
🚗 Helping with hinges, locks, cables and moving parts
⚙️ Lubricating mechanisms
💦 Driving out moisture
🛠️ Protecting tools and metalwork from rust
✨ Cleaning and bringing back the shine to metal, chrome and plastics
But then you discover the “wait… you can use it for THAT?!” list…
👉 Getting stuck LEGO pieces apart
👉 Removing candle wax from carpets
👉 Getting chewing gum off shoes
👉 Removing crayon from walls
👉 Cleaning sticky glue residues off surfaces
👉 Cleaning and polishing gold and brass
👉 Getting piano keys unstuck
👉 Helping scissors and pliers move smoothly
👉 Even keeping guitar strings protected from rust
And many more!
So why GT85 rather than WD-40?
Don't get us wrong — WD-40 is a brilliant, proven product and has thousands of documented uses of its own.
But GT85 has always been one of our favourites, because it isn't just about displacing water or freeing something that's stuck.
GT85 is designed to clean, lubricate and protect, and its formulation has been developed specifically as a penetrating, freeing agent and lubricant. GT85's technical information also documents its use for driving out moisture and protecting metal and factory-painted surfaces.
And there's another little thing to like…
Its smell. 😂
The distinctive lavender scent is part of the GT85 identity and is a very welcome change from the usual chemical-smelling workshop sprays. The company says the lavender oil has been a hallmark of the brand for years.
Then there’s price! You’ll get all this at a great price! Value for money!
So if you haven’t already, before you reach for a WD-40 or other well known brands… Maybe come in and grab yourself a can of GT85!
