Acoustic Panel Installation | St John’s C of E VC Infants’ School, Glastonbury

Excessive echo and reverberation were affecting several areas of the school, including the main hall, central Hub and spaces supporting SEND pupils.

Following an on-site acoustic assessment and RT60 analysis, we designed a tailored acoustic treatment focused on improving sound absorption while complementing the existing school environment.

We manufactured the bespoke acoustic panels in our Somerset workshop before installing the system during the Easter holidays, minimising disruption to the school.

The completed installation has helped create calmer, more focused spaces with improved speech clarity, supporting communication, concentration and wellbeing for both pupils and staff.

Contract Awarded | Badocks Wood Academy, Bristol

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been appointed to work alongside main contractor Beard Bristol on a two phase refurbishment and construction project at Badocks Wood Academy.

Our works include partitions, ceilings, hygienic cladding and the installation of Class A acoustic absorption panels, fabricated in our Somerset workshop.

The project will deliver refurbished spaces for classrooms, community use and staff facilities, with improved acoustic performance helping to create a better learning and working environment for everyone who uses them.

We’ll be sharing updates as the project progresses.

Fabric Wrapped Acoustic Panel Installation | Frinton Free Church, Essex

Frinton Free Church was experiencing significant reverberation and echo within one ofit's main halls, making speech and conversation difficult to follow.

We designed and manufactured a bespoke acoustic treatment combining fabric wrapped ceiling rafts, wall panels and deeper low-frequency absorption, all tailored around the existing architecture of the space.

By introducing absorption across both the ceiling and walls, the system reduces reflected sound and helps create a calmer, clearer and more comfortable environment for the community groups, events and activities held within the hall.

The Armstrong – Before & After

A final look at the transformation of the newly renewed community space in Thornbury. Fit-out works were undertaken by ourselves, including the striking brown fabric-wrapped suspended ceiling featured within the main hall area.

We’re extremely pleased with the finished result and look forward to revisiting the venue for some of the upcoming events.

On World Health Day, this year’s theme “Together for Health. Stand with Science” is a good reminder that the environments children experience every day really do matter. They shape how they learn, develop and feel.

In schools, sound is often overlooked, but it has a big impact. Background noise, echo and poor speech clarity can make it harder for students to concentrate, follow lessons and feel confident in the space around them.

When acoustics are properly considered, classrooms feel calmer and easier to work in. Teachers can be heard clearly, students stay more focused, and the whole environment becomes more comfortable and supportive.

Improving these environments early on isn’t just about learning, it’s about creating better, healthier experiences that carry forward into the future.

Soundproofing, Soundproofing, and Soundproofing. The term thrown around across the acoustics industry to reference any solution for any problem, and this is where the issues and miseducation starts. 🔊

Reducing noise isn’t just about productivity, it’s about wellbeing.

As we move into lighter spring evenings and sunlight fills our spaces, there’s a natural sense of calm that comes with the season. It’s a reminder of how our environments shape the way we feel.

So why not bring more of that calm indoors?

Improving your acoustics isn’t just an aesthetic choice, and it’s not only about speech clarity. It’s about creating spaces that support mental wellbeing, for your staff, your guests, and yourself.

Because the best spaces aren’t just seen. They’re felt.
