Flotex has been awarded the Allergy UK Seal of Approval as, thanks to its unique nylon construction, allergens are trapped within its densely packed flocks, thereby reducing the number of allergens in the atmosphere. These are then safely released to standard vacuums on cleaning.

The Dr.-Knippenberg College is a functional, healthy and future-oriented educational building. It is a BENG (Nearly Energy Neutral) building with a high insulation value, solar panels and a focus on a healthy indoor climate.

From a central heart with learning landscapes around an atrium, three broad arms fan out in which you will find classrooms, workplaces and studios, learning labs, an auditorium and numerous other functions. Between the arms are squares for the entrance, bicycles and a green area. The central learning landscape is covered by a canopy, which allows sunlight to pe*****te deep into the building.

For the floors, Marmoleum Concrete was chosen as a quiet base with accents in Allura Wood in the learning squares.

A 'studio look' with industrial concrete - that is what interior design firm EX Interiors had in mind for the Jakoba Mulderhuis, which houses the Engineering Department of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam.

EX Interiors created a successful floor design with Flotex tiles, in four connecting shades of gray. Together, these form clearly recognizable work zones and walkways on separated floor surfaces, which at the same time form an attractive coherent whole.

Other floors were finished with Marmoleum in the color earl gray chocolate, which combines nicely with the Flotex shades of gray and meets the requirements in terms of sustainability and budget. The workshop areas are finished tone on tone, with Marmoleum floors in bright colors of red, yellow, green and blue. Conductive Colorex is laid in the technical areas and Surestep **in the workshops provides the necessary anti-slip.

The Rodenborch College is a large school with as many as 2,300 students. By giving the building three educational wings, RoosRos Architects succeeded in giving the large building a 'we-feeling'.

In the interior, we sought unity in the building with a limited, powerful color palette, but with differences in the wings for identity and recognition. The chosen Marmoleum colors contribute to unity, recognition and natural atmosphere of the school.

Important starting points for the floor choice were attention to the indoor climate, durability, long life, circularity and ease of maintenance. Not surprising that Marmoleum was chosen, 5 points which our Marmoleum easily meets.
