Summer is officially here, and so is the peak season for air conditioning installations!☀️

For HVAC professionals, speed, safety, and durability are non-negotiable when mounting heavy outdoor split units.

Why installers choose the CELO MFR Multifunction Frame Plug for AC installations:
✅ Corrosion Protection: The integrated flat rim/collar of the MFR FB acts as a protective barrier between the metal bracket and the screw head, completely preventing contact corrosion.
✅ Time-Saving Installation: With a drilling depth of only 60mm, you drill faster. Plus, pre-assembled plugs allow you to drill, mount the bracket, push the plug in, and screw—saving you an entire step!
✅ Universal & Certified: ETA-approved for concrete, hollow core slabs, solid brick, and aerated concrete. One product covers all your building materials.
✅ Weather-Proof: Developed and manufactured in Germany from high-quality, UV-resistant nylon, certified to withstand extreme outdoor conditions from -40°C to +80°C.

Ensure your outdoor HVAC installations are perfectly safe with CELO quality. 🛠️

🔩 Fastening on ETICS / EIFS facades doesn't have to be complicated.

With the IPS 80, lightweight attachments can be fixed directly into the insulation material – quickly, thermal bridge-free and without pre-drilling the render (up to 7 mm).

Whether flashing profiles, signs, lights or motion sensors: the sharp drill tip enables fast installation, while the pre-assembled EPDM seal provides reliable protection against moisture and driving rain.

✔ Direct fastening into insulation
✔ No pre-drilling in render up to 7 mm
✔ Weatherproof EPDM sealing
✔ Thermal bridge-free installation
✔ Suitable for a wide range of ETICS / EIFS applications

In this video, we show the installation step by step.

🏠 EPS or mineral wool?

Both insulation materials are commonly used in ETICS / EIFS facades – but they differ significantly in their properties.

🔹 EPS (Expanded Polystyrene)
✔ Lightweight
✔ Good thermal insulation
✔ Most commonly used facade insulation material

🔹 Mineral wool
✔ Non-combustible
✔ Good thermal and acoustic insulation
✔ Often used where higher fire protection requirements apply

When selecting the right fastening solution, it makes a difference which insulation material is installed behind the facade.

👉 That’s why it’s important to understand the wall structure before choosing the fastening solution.

🏗 Fixing into insulation is about more than just holding loads.

When installing on insulated façades, several factors need to work together:
the base material, insulation type, load requirements, and thermal separation all play a key role.

Depending on the application, the challenges can vary from lightweight installations to heavy-duty fixings on ETICS/EIFS façades.

Common challenges on site:
✔ secure load transfer
✔ reducing thermal bridges
✔ driving rain resistance
✔ fast and efficient installation

Modern insulation fixings are designed to meet these different requirements —
from direct fixings in ETICS/EIFS to thermally separated heavy-duty solutions.

🔧 Insulation is not one-size-fits-all.

Depending on the building structure and project requirements, different insulation systems are used for both exterior and interior applications.

Common exterior insulation systems:
✔ ETICS
✔ Cavity wall insulation
✔ Ventilated façades

Common interior insulation methods:
✔ Insulation boards
✔ Stud framing systems
✔ Drywall constructions
✔ Insulating plaster

Each solution comes with its own advantages — and choosing the right fixing solution is just as important 💪

🔧 One screw – multiple applications.

The IPS 80T is the perfect solution for fast direct fixings in ETICS systems 💪

✔ Connect insulation boards
✔ Fix dimpled membranes
✔ Mount lightweight attachments

Thanks to its sharp drill tip, there’s no need for pre-drilling in plaster up to 7 mm.

Fast. Clean. Thermal bridge-free.

Strong exchange. Valuable conversations. Growing together. 🤝

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming customers from Southeast Europe to our facility in Germany for a product training session. The focus was on hands-on insights into our fixing solutions, personal discussions, and direct exchange about applications, challenges, and new possibilities on site.

International meetings like these always highlight the value of strong partnerships, knowledge sharing, and working closely together. Thank you for your visit, your trust, and the great time together! 🔧🌍

Light vs. heavy fixings – the difference decides if it holds 👇

In drywall, the anchor is usually not the problem –
👉 it’s the wrong load assessment.

Many treat every fixing the same. That’s the mistake. 👇

👉 Light fixings
(e.g. pictures, small shelves)
✔️ Low load
✔️ Minimal leverage
✔️ Fast & easy installation

Typical solutions:
• GKD (plasterboard anchor) → no pre-drilling, super fast
• HR (light-duty hollow wall anchor) → simple & cost-effective

👉 Heavy fixings
(e.g. wall cabinets, sinks, radiators)
❗ High load
❗ Leverage due to distance from the wall
❗ Permanent load

Here you need more than a standard anchor:

Typical solutions:
• HRM (metal hollow wall anchor) → high load capacity through expansion
• BT Plus → maximum safety for heavy loads

✔️ Anchors securely in the cavity
✔️ For board thicknesses from 10–70 mm
✔️ No special tools required

💡 The key difference:
It’s not just about weight –
it’s about how the load acts on the wall.
