At Asali Bali, we believe that the most beautiful structures are those that live in harmony with their surroundings. Today, we’re looking back at Villa Nangka, a stunning residential project nestled in the heart of Gili Air, Lombok.

With a sweeping 492 m² roof area and a design that showcases the organic curves of bamboo, this villa is more than just a home—it’s a testament to sustainable luxury. Built in just 3.5 months by our dedicated team of 16 master craftsmen, it demonstrates how traditional materials can define modern living.

The second building of Villa Jocelyne continues the architectural language introduced in the first structure. With bamboo as the main structural system, the design explores curved forms that shape both the structure and the enclosure of the villa, ensuring the building blends harmoniously with its natural surroundings.

The structural rhythm shapes both the interior atmosphere and the overall form of the villa, allowing natural light and air to move freely through the space. Set within the lush landscape of Ubud, the design embraces bamboo not only as a material, but as a structural system that defines the character of the building while blurring the lines between the architecture and the environment.
