Bishopstown Mens Shed The Bishopstown Mens Shed provides a safe, friendly and inclusive environment for men to gather and work on meaningful, community projects together

The Bishopstown Mens Shed is a member of the Irish Mens Shed Association and is a friendly place for men to gather and get involved in all kinds of meaningful projects which are carried out at an unhurried pace. We have a nice vegetable and herb garden and a workshop for wood turning and woodwork. We also help maintain the area along the Glasheen Stream litter free. We meet twice a week and as wel

l as maintaining the local walking route along the Glasheen Stream we get involved in various small projects to help beautify and improve the local community open spaces. The remedial work carried out along the Glasheen Stream by the Shed and Cork City Council over the last few years has encouraged the return of a number of bird species including Mallards, Moorhens, Egrets, Kingfisher and Herons.
