Refresh exterior masonry and timber surfaces with a clean, professional finish that stands up to the elements. This Topline project guides you through proper prep, painting and protection, helping you achieve a polished look while extending the life of your outdoor surfaces.
Project 2: Fence Repair, Staining or Replacement
Step 1 – Prepare the Area
Lay down masking tape & drop cloths to protect windows, doors and surrounding areas.
Step 2 – Repair Surface
Use crack filler/patch to repair any visible cracks or surface damage. Allow to dry fully before proceeding.
Step 3 – Sand & Prepare
Smooth rough or flaking areas using sanding & prep tools to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Step 4 – Apply Primer
Apply primer/undercoat evenly to masonry or wood surfaces. This improves durability and enhances final colour coverage.
Step 5 – Apply Cuprinol Garden Shades Exterior Paint
Using paint rollers & brushes, apply exterior masonry/wood paint in even coats. For higher areas, use an extension pole and step ladder safely to reach upper sections.
Step 6 – Second Coat
Allow the first coat to dry fully before applying a second coat for a durable, long-lasting finish.
Result
A refreshed exterior with wooden panels that boosts kerb appeal while offering long-lasting protection, finished with Cuprinol Garden Shades to colour, protect and weatherproof for up to 6 years, with rich pigments that enhance colour while letting the natural woodgrain shine through.
