A interesting read, Gerry Dolan was a good friend of Chris and how they first met is mentioned below. Remember this is back before Hoists and Teleporters existed.

Extract taken from the

Gerry had moved back to Mullingar and had worked for years in the London area.
He described how, when they were erecting the large piped television mast beside the Dublin Road outside the town of Mullingar, to provide the Westmeath capital with the first multi-channel television service in the midlands, they were having considerable difficulties in getting the crane brought from Maynooth in place to erect the tall mast.
It had to be located on top of
an area of raised
ground. It was the late Chris Lynch of Mullingar, who had solved the prob-lem, having figured out how to get the base in the correct place and he helped them to successfully erect the mast. As a result, Mullingar had one of the first piped television services in the coun-tryTelevision services
with sufficient channels are no longer the huge attraction they were when we were flat out, because everyone can now tune in to hundreds of different TV services, and today mobile phones are like mini-television sets," he
quipped.

9 years gone . The boss man would have been 82 today .. the BBQ would be fired up and the usual suspects would have been over for a catch up. The years pass but the memories are still alive. Chris was an amazing person so kind and full of fun 💞 taken from us way too soon. Abbie our little niece shares the same birthday so we will celebrate today with her.

This little poem is on his grave and I think it's so fitting

"He was a father so very rare,Content in his home and always there,On earth he toiled, in heaven he rests,God bless you, father, you were one of the best" 😢
