Liffey Mills is a privately owned agricultural merchant founded in 1982 by Richard Liffey jnr. What started out as a small grain and animal feed business at the old monastery mill at Bunnow, Roscrea with a staff of 6 and a turnover of £160,000 has grown into a much larger organisation. Today Liffey Mills employs 60 people directly and has a turnover in excess of €65m. Liffey Mills have branches at
Roscrea, Shinrone, Nenagh, Athy and Banagher. We have three manufacturing facilities handling 50,000 ton of grain and in excess of 90,000 ton of animal feed. The success of Liffey Mills is due to our commitment to improve the quality of our products and the service we provide through continued product development and a staggering investment program to ensure the long term viability of our company. Our animal feedstuffs range from calf to beef finishing rations to specialties such as cooked and flaked barley, peas, beans and soya as well as horse rations. Our toasting and flaking lines provides us with the highest quality ingredients essential for the creation of the best possible rations. As well as animal feeds we also sell fertilizers, seeds, veterinary, chemicals, and hardware, clothing and gardening products.
