At the same site on 𝐒𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝, 𝐆𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (Prospecta Software𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤), along with workstation systems, we integrated Iqubx office pods -enabling an immediate shift from open to focused work.

Six pods.
Grouped in threes.
Positioned within the layout-not as add-ons, but as part of the system.

What stands out is not just how they look.
It’s how they perform.

High sound insulation.
Minimal sound leakage.
A calm, controlled internal environment.

At a recently completed site on 𝐒𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝, 𝐆𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (Prospecta Software 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤), multiple Iqubx systems were specified by the architect - and one which came out really well was the 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.

Clean, minimal, linear lines.
This system is built on a section we had originally engineered for a far more demanding condition -solving a complex baffle installation in a double-height architectural space, where precision and strength were non-negotiable and that too with hidden joinery.

At IQUBX we drive sustainability and cost engineering through high level modularity of systems with minimum number of components which can be assembled in diverse configurations as solutions.

Not as isolated products, but as 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
The 𝐖𝐒𝐋𝐒𝐐50 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 carries that forward.

An aluminium extrusion designed with a tapered wall for strength, internal slot logic for robust joinery, and a snap-fit cover that conceals all fixing - keeping the system visually resolved.

It allows:
– strong, stable workstations
– integrated cable management
– quick assembly on site
– and the flexibility to adapt as layouts evolve
It comes in knock-down form, assembles quickly, and can be reconfigured, reused, or repurposed over time.

In this project, it has been finished in a single tone for visual consistency. But the system also allows different elements -legs, frames, covers -to be finished in contrasting colours, enabling subtle patterns, highlights, or zoning within the workspace when design calls for it.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬.

This project came together beautifully -and it’s always satisfying when clients recognise not just how a space looks, but how it works.

The 𝐇𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 project was a challenging one for us.

The site had a three-storey high atrium, and we came in at a late stage. The requirement was to develop a system where baffles could be fixed not just on the ceiling, but also vertically along the walls, while working alongside glass surfaces, all with no visible joinery.

To solve this, the 𝐈𝐐𝐔𝐁𝐗 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 developed a 50 𝐦𝐦 𝐱 50 𝐦𝐦 𝐛𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 with a cover plate, ensuring clean and concealed fixing. Interestingly, this section was also designed as a modular profile that can be adapted as a workstation leg, which we’ve already explored in another project.

Ex*****on was equally demanding.

The team worked extensively using temporary scaffolding, as the baffles were visible from a distance making alignment extremely critical. Since the fixing detail did not allow for easy realignment, precision at the marking stage was key.

Using laser-based marking, the layout was carefully planned and executed. Each baffle was fixed with high accuracy, resulting in a clean and well-aligned installation, as seen in the final outcome.

At the 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐒𝐓 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐛, this system was installed both horizontally and vertically, extending through the triple-height space.

A design question that keeps coming up in my work:

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 - 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐞𝐝?
Teams change.

Functions change.

Yet most acoustic solutions are locked in at day one-even though acoustic expectations almost always increase over time.

After exploring how noise affects focus and long-term health, my latest article looks at the aspect of 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, which means more than open spaces and collaboration zones-it means designing 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 that support how people think, interact, and recover and most importantly about 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞-𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧.

Workplaces can be designed to evolve acoustically as needs change-without demolition, waste, or compromise.

From high-performance, upgradeable glass partitions to custom-sized pods and acoustic zoning, the shift is clear:
👉 we need 𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬, not one-time fixes.

Chronic exposure to unpredictable sound quietly activates stress responses in the body-affecting focus, mental fatigue, and over time, physical and mental health.

We often talk about burnout, anxiety, and declining well-being at work, even about ergonomic chairs and air quality. What we rarely examine is how much the 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 contributes to this load. The biggest, yet overlooked, environmental health risks in workplaces is 𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐞.

In my latest article, I explore how unmanaged workplace noise links cognitive fatigue to longer-term health risks-and why this is no longer just an HR issue, but a leadership responsibility.
