Microsoft partnering with nine different companies MicrosoftIn the recent Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona this Sunday Microsoft revealed that it is planning to partner with 9 different companies. This would help them expand their services and develop new Windows Phone Devices. The firm also made some useful announcements to inform the users about the future aims for Windows Phones.

The nine new partners of the company includes the likes of Karbonn, Foxconn, ZTE, Gionee, Longcheer, LG, Lenovo, XOLO and JSR. Most of these companies will help Microsoft in improving its market share in the Chinese markets. China has been one the biggest emerging markets in the field of mobile phones. LG might not be included in the category of a new partner as it has already sold a device with Windows operating system. Microsoft also spoke about some of the recent updates that will be coming up for the windows phones.

The windows platform will be adding support for the Snapdragon 400 and 20 processors from Qualcomm. Microsoft also mentioned TD-SCMA that shows that the company might be looking to work with China Mobile to new Windows Phone Device. New devices that will be having soft keys and dual SIM feature are expected to come up. The company mentioned that they hope that the same hardware is used for Windows phone and Android platform. In the future devices Microsoft will be adding a feature that would enable the users to save apps directly to their microSD card. In the BUILD developer conference to be held in April Microsoft will probably announce their Windows Phone 8.1 with new features like the new action menu and Cortana assistant.
