For girls growing up in poverty, their monthly periods can prevent them from participating at school, with a devastating impact on their education and self-esteem as they are unable to afford sanitary napkins.

Stone Shippers Limited joined forces with Praveen Lata Sansthan and took initiative of Capacity building workshop at the remotest part of Bundi District Rajasthan for around 300 tribal women through Day and Night Choppal workshops at (Khamoliya, Main sub center, Bewadiya, Main Market,Balaji Mandir Chowk) Rajasthan followed by distribution of Dignity kits to help them understand the natural process around periods and help them to share their challenges to break the silence and speak up for their health.

The Dignity kits included Washable Cloth pads made of Bamboo which can be reused upto 5 years, Soap, Towel, Underwear, and a Pouch under our CSR initiative.

At Stone Shippers Limited, the impact of our work is critical to all we do. 2020 & 2021 were exceptional years in many ways, as we rapidly adapted and pivoted our programs and research to meet the needs of young learners, around Rajasthan during the Covid-19 crisis. We present you the ways in which our work has made a positive difference – both in rising to the education challenges of the pandemic and in more broadly furthering our mission to improve lives by transforming education.

More than 250 children from small and remote villages of Rajasthan had been impacted.

Education for Underprivileged - The program addresses a gamut of critical issues faced by disadvantaged communities when it comes to school education – starting from enrollment in schools to nutrition for children, counseling services for parents, remedial education, among others. These children are from some of the most vulnerable groups in our society – remote villages, migrant labor families, street children.

Our partners worked on close to 10+ thematic areas and the impact has been in the areas of curriculum, textbooks and school leadership among other aspects. Our Programs are aimed at promoting Sustainable Development Goals.
