IT - Un tesoro nascosto, eppure ben visibile a centinaia di visitatori ogni giorno. Sono le ex Procuratie, i tre palazzi che abbracciano Piazza San Marco e la cui apertura al pubblico, per la prima volta nei loro cinquecento anni di storia, è frutto di un progetto di restauro imponente ad opera di David Chipperfield Architects, con la committenza di Generali Assicurazioni.

Un viaggio nel tempo e nello spazio, attraverso un’opera di conservazione e innovazione che va modellandosi su tutti i tre piani, valorizzando forme e materiali originali, sorprendendo con parti di pavimenti in terrazzo veneziano, soffitti, intonaci, affreschi storici e muri in mattoni che mostrano le tracce del tempo giunte, dall’epoca dei procuratori della Serenissima, fino a noi.

Modulati sulle dimensioni e le peculiarità degli elementi preesistenti, i preziosi sistemi OS2 75 in acciaio inox brunito uniscono prestazioni, resistenza ed estetica, regalando una vista inedita verso Piazza San Marco.

These are the former Procuratie, the three buildings that embrace St. Mark’s Square, whose public opening, for the first time in their five hundred years of history, is the result of an impressive restoration project by David Chipperfield Architects, commissioned by Generali Assicurazioni.

A journey through time and space, achieved through a work of conservation and innovation that takes shape across all three floors, enhancing original forms and materials, surprising visitors with sections of Venetian terrazzo floors, ceilings, plasterwork, historic frescoes, and exposed brick walls that bear the marks of time, from the era of the Serenissima’s procurators to the present day.

Designed to match the dimensions and unique characteristics of the pre-existing elements, the precious OS2 75 systems in burnished stainless steel combine performance, durability, and aesthetics, offering an unprecedented view of St. Mark’s Square.

IT - A Venezia, direttamente affacciato sul Canal Grande tra il Ponte di Rialto e il “Mercato Vecchio” c’è Cà da Mosto, un palazzo tra i più antichi della città, esempio di architettura Veneto Bizantina.

Oggi il palazzo rivive grazie a The Venice Venice Hotel, un 5 stelle lusso che reinterpreta la vocazione all’ospitalità della città, attraverso un progetto dallo stile “post veneziano”. Un nuovo concetto di hotellerie che parte dall’eclettismo generato dalla stratificazione storica per aprirsi a influenze artistiche diverse, un luogo di incontro tra artisti, artigiani e designer, come bene prezioso da preservare dal turismo di massa.
L’arte trasforma gli spazi del palazzo in vere opere site specific, l’architettura, la moda, il design si mescolano anche nelle camere dai soffitti altissimi e dalle straordinarie viste sul Canal Grande, impreziosite da materiali preziosi come i serramenti in ottone naturale di OS2 75, che dialogano con i cromatismi delle stanze e trasmettono la sensazione di eleganza e storicità.

EN - Cà da Mosto is one of the oldest buildings in Venice, an example of Veneto Byzantine architecture, directly overlooking the Grand Canal, between the Rialto Bridge and the “Mercato Vecchio”.
Today the building lives again thanks to The Venice Venice Hotel, a 5-star luxury hotel that reinterprets the city’s vocation for hospitality, through a project with a “post-Venetian” style. A new hotellerie concept which starts from the eclecticism generated by historical stratification to open up to different artistic influences, a meeting place for artists, craftsmen and designers, as a precious asset to be preserved from mass tourism.

Art transforms the spaces of the building into true site-specific works, architecture, fashion and design also mix in the rooms with very high ceilingsand extraordinary views of the Grand Canal, embellished with precious materials such as the natural brass OS2 75 windows and doors, which dialogue with the colors of the rooms and convey the feeling of elegance and historicity.

IT - Durante la prima rivoluzione industriale inglese a fine ‘700 non esisteva ancora l’illuminazione elettrica e per illuminare gli ambienti lavorativi si sfruttava al massimo la luce naturale attraverso l’apertura di grandi finestre.
I serramenti venivano costruiti con semplici profili in acciaio a forma di T Z L a sorreggere piccole lastre di vetro, circa 30x30 cm, dimensioni massime disponibili in quel periodo. I serramenti così composti avevano il tipico disegno a scacchiera chiamato per la sua provenienza, “inglesina”. I semplici profili “T Z L” si evolsero per adattarsi agli edifici residenziali, sostituendo le superfici da piane a modanate per decorare l’infisso, riprendendo i profili sagomati delle eleganti finestre in legno, allontanandosi dall’estetica industriale. La Secco Sistemi ripropone lo stile modanato con BV (smussato) e MB (barocco), per soddisfare le più attente esigenze dei progettisti sia nel restauro sia in edifici nella tradizione.

EN - During the first Industrial Revolution in late 18th-century England, electric lighting did not yet exist.
To illuminate working spaces, natural light was maximized through large windows. Windows were constructed with simple steel profiles in T, Z, and L shapes to support small glass panes, approximately 30x30 cm, the largest available at the time, these windows were arranged in a typical checkerboard pattern. The basic T, Z, and L profiles evolved to suit residential buildings, transitioning from flat surfaces to molded profiles to decorate the window frame. This design borrowed from the elegant profiles of wooden windows, moving away from industrial aesthetics. Secco Sistemi reintroduces molded styles with BV (beveled) and MB (baroque), catering to the meticulous demands of designers for both restoration projects and traditional buildings.

IT - Tra i protagonisti al BAU 2025, il nostro nuovo sistema MB con profili ridotti dal design barocco realizzati in metalli pregiati.

MB è l’acronimo di Modanatura Barocca ed indica la raffinata lavorazione ad ovolo ribassato lungo i profili che bloccano il vetro, sia all’esterno che all’interno, garantendo uniformità estetica su entrambi i lati. Il sistema è stato progettato per posizionare il vetro al centro dello spessore dell’anta, conferendo corpo al serramento e dando profondità al prospetto esterno. La modanatura barocca di MB non solo evoca le eleganti forme del passato, rendendolo adatto al restauro, ma si integra armoniosamente nel progetto architettonico dell’edificio e nel design degli interni.

EN - Among the protagonists at BAU 2025, our new MB windows with extremely slim profiles in precious metals, as well as with a baroque design.

MB stands for Baroque Molding, indicating the refined use of concave profiles to secure glass within window frames, both externally and internally, ensuring aesthetic uniformity on both sides. Additionally, the system is designed to center the glass within the frame’s thickness, adding substance to the window and depth to the external facade. MB’s baroque molding not only evokes the elegant shapes of the past, making it suitable for restoration, but also harmonizes seamlessly with the architectural design of buildings and interior aesthetics.

Mancano sistemi capaci di coniugare sicurezza e leggerezza nel design, come richiesto dai progettisti. XT risponde a questa esigenza, offrendo serramenti eleganti e dal profilo minimale, garantendo una resistenza al fuoco fino a 60 minuti. Il tutto è completato da eleganti cerniere e fermavetri coordinati, che ne esaltano l’estetica e la funzionalità.
