The Artisans of Peace. Where contemporary art meets collective memory.

At the Basilica of Saint-Vincent in Metz, Marc Brousse’s immersive installation PAX AEDIFICANTES reinterprets the historical Mourners of the Dukes of Burgundy. To elevate the symbolic weight of the artwork, a seamlessly integrated single-cell Laser Blade XS is concealed within the base of each stele—enhancing the sculptures from below while the light source remains completely invisible.

Its balance of heritage, innovation and lighting performance has earned Newfo Gold Certification at the 19th edition of the Grand Prix du Design .

How do we redefine boundaries?

At Aedes in Berlin, we celebrate Labics, recently named AW Architects of the Year 2026, and their new installation "Open". This visionary project deconstructs the concept of a boundary—no longer a barrier, but a connective and welcoming space.

Conceived by Mariaclaudia Clemente and Francesco Isidori, "Open" is a delicate, filigree wooden structure functioning as a walkable loggia. It’s a place for social interaction, pausing among plants and books, and a testament to architecture's power in shaping public space and collective life. A continuous pursuit of connection, where design fosters human experiences.

Visit "Open" at Aedes Berlin , in collaboration with AW Architektur & Wohnen , until August 19th.
