During the Open Days week, thanks to a quick coordination with the Ferrari & Cigarini team , we managed to organize a visit to the machines on display and working for a potential Australian customer.

A big thank you to the whole team for the great effort in these busy days, and to ITA for bringing visitors from the other side of the world to this event.

⚒️ The tools area, always crowded with tilers and contractors. American installers experience Coverings like a true State Fair (the large annual U.S. event that showcases a state’s agriculture, industry, and entertainment).
They meet up, try new and well-established installation tools, and take part in contests and seminars. You see them gathered around a small table during the day — and especially during the after-hours.
American tilers are a real community that can’t wait to attend this show.

🤝 “The right people showed up.” Aside from Cersaie, what’s the only opportunity for an American importer to see and touch ceramic surfaces — especially large formats? The Ceramics of Italy and Tile of Spain USA stands. Always outstanding.

👥 Attendance, in my opinion, down by 10–15%. Waiting for official numbers.
🎰 Las Vegas is not ideal — far southwest and, above all, expensive.
📆 Less than two months after The International Surface Event (TISE), in the same city, during the week of both Catholic and Jewish Easter. Why?
2️⃣ The actual show days have become two. The fourth day had already faded, but seeing the third day weaken as well is not good news.
🏘️ The double-hall layout doesn’t help. The organization isn’t very clear. For example: Italy and Spain close together, Portugal far away, and Brazil in between.
🏭 A few fewer exhibitors, but above all: investing €800,000 in beautiful booths that are too often empty — how long will that continue?
🇺🇸 Many Americans, but how many Canadians and Central and South Americans were there?

Something needs to change. For the next two years, the show returns to Orlando, where it has historically had the most success. But I don’t believe that alone will be enough.
