Winters in the north are harsh.
But perhaps it is because of that cold
that there are things we can appreciate more deeply.

火のある暮らしは、冬を少し好きにしてくれる。

薪を焚べること。
薪がはぜる音を聞くこと。
揺れる火を、ただ眺めること。

便利さとは少し違う、
暮らしの中の小さな手間が、

will surely change little by little.

人生は、長いようで、短いらしい。
