It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of Con Jooste.
Con and his brother Nic have been fishing with Kingfisher and supporting Malindi Sea Fishing Club and Kenya fishing for over 25 years. In that time, Nic and Angie have become an integral part of the community.
Con was a true purist fisherman, dedicated to the art of fly fishing. With over 100 billfish caught on fly, his achievements were nothing short of remarkable.
One of his memorable achievements came aboard Eclare in 2010, when he completed a Grand Slam on fly, catching and releasing a Sailfish, Striped Marlin and Swordfish. A remarkable achievement and a testament to his incredible skill and dedication to the sport.
Con's passion, skill and love for fishing will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a remarkable fishing legacy and will always hold a special place in the Kingfisher family.
