Banko Gotiti sits on the eastern edge of Gedeb district, close to the Guji zone border. This part of Gedeb is coming into its own as a source of bright, high-toned washed coffees, and this fully washed lot expresses it with clean notes of bergamot, orange blossom and earl grey.

This coffee was grown in Arbegona, one of the highest coffee-growing elevations in the country. Many farms here sit well above 2,000 metres, where cherries ripen slowly, holding onto more sugar and acidity compared to lower-grown coffee. This natural lot is a wonderful showcase of those qualities.

What an amazing four days at Malaysia Coffee Week โœจ

We sought to bring our roastery retail experience to you, with our full lineup of beans to sample and experience, and it was great to see you sip, taste, and explore your way through the table โ˜•๏ธ We hope you enjoyed discovering the different coffees, and maybe even found a new favourite along the way.

Our two representative teams had a lot of fun competing at the Malaysia Barista Team Championship too!

Special thanks to the organizers MSCA โ€” itโ€™s a pleasure to see MCW and the local coffee community grow from year to year ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

This coming Wednesday, weโ€™re excited to welcome ignis from Tokyo, Japan to our bar ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ Angelyn from Ignis will be here brewing a delightful selection of filter coffees, with beans available for retail too.

โ€œHi KL! Iโ€™m a Malaysian working as a barista at Ignis, a specialty coffee shop in Tokyo.

Ignis was founded from a burning passion for coffee and a drive to push the boundaries of what specialty coffee can be. We are dedicated to serving exceptional coffees and pushing the boundaries of coffee through innovative drinks and unique experiences. From rare experimental lots to world-class varieties to original signature drinks, every cup is crafted to spark curiosity, inspire a deeper passion for coffee, and create meaningful connections with people wherever we go.

Iโ€™m excited to share the coffees I work with every day in Tokyo with everyone back home in Malaysia. Come say hi!โ€

New to our Everyday Geisha series โ€” Colombia Inmaculada Geisha Washed ๐Ÿงก

Surrounded by the Farallones National Park and nestled in the Andes at 1,700โ€“2,000 metres above sea level, Inmaculada is part of the Holguin Ramos familyโ€™s long-standing agricultural tradition, spanning more than 90 years. Their deep connection to the land is reflected in the coffees they produce โ€” carefully cultivated with a focus on quality and expression.

This washed Geisha is elegant and refined, with hints of blood orange and honey leading into delicate notes of jasmine and white tea. Lovely on both espresso and filter.

Now available online and in our roastery ๐Ÿฆ‰
