Human Rights and Employee Rights Awareness Talk – 20 May 2026

Unitrade Industries Berhad Group of Companies recently organised a Human and Employee Rights awareness talk at our premises on 20 May 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The session was conducted by Puan Paremeswari Subramaniam, Ketua Penolong Setiausaha, Bahagian Pendidikan, Kemasyarakatan dan Promosi, SUHAKAM.

The session was delivered in a hybrid format, allowing employees to attend both physically and virtually via Microsoft Teams. This enabled participation from employees across our various branches, ensuring wider engagement and inclusivity throughout the organisation.

This initiative is aligned with Bursa Malaysia’s requirements on employee training relating to human rights policies and procedures relevant to our operations. The session aimed to strengthen employees’ awareness and understanding of key human rights principles, workplace responsibilities, and best practices. Through this programme, the Group seeks to foster a more informed, responsible, and ethical working environment, reinforcing our commitment to upholding human and employee rights standards across all levels of the organisation.

What started in the kitchen continued on the ground.

Our team recently joined The Assembly Soup Kitchen (T.A.S.K.) in Glenmarie for a CSR initiative involving meal preparation, care packing, and community food distribution.

A total of 28 adults and 5 children took part in the session, bringing together colleagues, family members, and volunteers for a meaningful day of service.

Together, the team helped prepare approximately 200 meals for Kinrara and Damansara Perdana, before continuing to Sunway Mentari to distribute food to 50 families.

From preparing ingredients and packing meals to loading, unloading, and assisting families on-site, every task played a part in making the effort possible.

A sincere thank you to The Assembly Soup Kitchen for the opportunity to contribute, and to everyone who gave their time and energy to support this initiative.
