Sumi-Tech®️ was pleased to support Civil & Structural Engineering Division of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and CIDB Malaysia as a sponsor and collaborator for the recent seminar, “Construction Products Compliance and Safety.”

With over 100 industry players and professional engineers in attendance, the Malakoff Auditorium was nearly at full capacity. It was encouraging to witness such strong collective interest in elevating safety and compliance standards within the Malaysian construction industry.

A key highlight of the event was the exchange of appreciation tokens between Ir. Prof. Dr. Wong Yew Hoong (Honorary Treasurer, IEM), En. Suhaimi Bin Mansor (Senior General Manager, CIDB), and our Director, Mr. Ng Boon Liam (Sumi-Tech). This moment underscored the vital partnership between professional bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry providers.

Specialized sessions by CIDB and CREAM provided detailed updates on Act 520 (4th Schedule) and the essential procedures for product certification and testing. Subsequently, our Technical Director, Ir. Ng Kian Seng, shared practical approaches to scaffolding material compliance, safe design, and advanced er****on methods.

Sumi-Tech Scaffold System Sdn Bhd paid an official visit to 𝐀𝐃𝐓𝐄𝐂 𝐉𝐓𝐌 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐢 on 8th August 2025.

Both parties discussed collaborative efforts in scaffolding training, including the proposal for a certified training centre and long-term talent development initiatives. ✨

Sumi-Tech®️ was honoured to take part in The Work At Height Seminar organized by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) JKKP / DOSH Malaysia on 23rd October 2025 at Bangi Avenue Convention Centre (BACC).

We were privileged to contribute as one of the speakers, sharing insights on safe work practices at height, while also showcasing our scaffolding solutions at our booth.
