While building your house(s) these days, once your project get to the roofing stage, buy woods and ensure you have them treated against insects infestation owing to the fact that most trees don't grow to maturity stage before they are cut down for timber serving purposes.

The forests which houses matured trees are inaccessible due to the activities of criminal elements who kidnap lumber men popularly known as operators.

Most woods sellers will promise to sell woods that are impregnable by insects due to the fact that you're pressing hard on getting good quality woods, in the Nigeria we live today, most agencies are merely glorified institutions they no longer serve their purposes, trees are no longer planted in replacements of fallen trees and both the ministries of agriculture plus the forests guards can't do anything about that.

If you can buy a car of 5 million naira, try to get a tracker of 100k, if you can buy roofing woods of 1 million naira, treating them for 30k shouldn't be so much a task for you to carry out else you'll remove the roof in 2to 3 years time which will end up being more expensive than the treatment.

I was called by a potential client yesterday.

Him: hello, good day sir.

Me: hello good afternoon sir, this is Frank, who is this?.

Him: wow, this is nice, I'm Engineer Segun Adepoju.

I asked how I can help him and he replied by telling me that someone I know recommended me to him.

In his exact words "you came highly recommended by someone you know and we have a reservation for you".

Me: not this time of the year again.

Some days back, I got back home from timbershed, as I stepped into the house after the initial daddy oyoyo, daddy oyoyo, my oldest son Somto took me to a corner in the kitchen and said "while we were returning from school this afternoon, I saw some people starting up a new building close to our school, I told them that my father sell woods and they should buy from you, they asked you to come around tomorrow".

People of God, I was wowed, I was awed, I was speechless, I held him close to my chest and said "thank you so much Somto, I will go there tomorrow".

I felt so proud that night.

When I went to the construction site the following day, i introduced myself and the owner of the project shook my hand saying "your son got you this supply, we already have a supplier but for that boy to summon such courage to speak for you, Oga, i was challenged and have to give it to you".
