EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ROCKWOOL PROROX WM 950
Rockwool ProRox WM 950 is a lightly bonded stone wool insulation mat stitched on galvanized wire mesh with galvanized wire.
The wired mats are produced with an innovative water-repellent
binder, known as WR-Tech™, to mitigate the risk of corrosion under
insulation (CUI). WR-Tech ensures our stone wool maintains its superior water repellency even at elevated operating temperatures within the CUI range, while preserving its excellent thermal performance in use.
APPLICATION
The wired mat is suitable for the thermal and acoustic insulation of industrial installations
exposed to the environment, such as outdoor industrial pipework and equipment at
petrochemical plants and refineries.
PROPERTIES AND BENEFITS
1. THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY: ProRox wm like every other Rockwool product has the ability to resist heat transfer, and hence the greater the insulation’s effectiveness.
2. MAXIMUM SERVICE TEMPERATURE: Maximum service Temperature is the highest temperature at which a material can be used, for prolonged periods, without significant change in properties. For ProRox wm 950, the maximum service temperature is 640°C.
3. REACTION TO FIRE: You can take confidence from the fact that ProRox wm 950 stone wool insulation is classified as A1 - the highest ranking available. Also, ProRox wm 950 is non-combustible and can withstand temperatures of over 640°C without melting.
4. Density: ProRox wm 950 has a density of 80kg/m^, increasing its thermal qualities.
5. Corrosion resistance: Prorox wm 950 has resistance to corrosion, (Trace quantity of water leachable chloride ions: ≤ 10 mg/kg)
6. WATER ABSORPTION: Prorox wm 950 has an excellent ability to resist water absorption and moisture effects. (≤ 0,2 kg/m2 ≤ 0,2 kg/m2) (After 24 hrs. pre-heating at 250°C).
7. WATER VAPOUR DIFFUSION: Prorox wm 950 is a temperature-dependent, dimensionless material property. Damp can freely circulate and evaporate, so the risk of damp problems remains limited. ( its water vapour diffusion is μ = 1)
8. INFLUENCE ON COATING SYSTEMS: Free from substances (e.g. silicone oil) that might impair surface wetting.
