HOW TO CHECK THE QUALITY OF PLYWOOD

Prior to purchasing plywood, you should take into account these factors:

In a dry indoor area, you should choose commercial or moisture-resistant plywood when purchasing plywood for furniture. Waterproof or Gurjan material is recommended for kitchens and bathrooms because these are humid areas.

From the outside, examine plywood, to check plywood quality, follow these steps:

It is recommended to cut the plywood so that the core layers are straight and overlapped less than half of the thickness of the plywood. The wood core of plywood should be evident as well as the ability to hold nails.

The plywood must have either a wood face veneer or a recon face veneer.

In the case of 18mm plywood, if it bends, the product is not of good quality.

Make sure there are no hollow areas in the plywood by tapping firmly in the middle and all around the sides.

All four corners of the surface must be symmetrical, and the thickness should not vary.

The heavier the plywood, the denser it is.

What is the difference between wooden plywood, commercial plywood, and hardwood plywood?

Commercial Plywood: Commercial plywood refers to the inexpensive, marketable standard plywood. Because it has greater quality than the standard plywood and is priced in an affordable range, MR grade plywood generally is regarded as commercial plywood. The MR grade means the humidity-resistant grade.

Advantages:

👉🏼Waterproof glue is water-resistant and humidity-resistant and so does not wear off if moisture is exposed.
👉🏼MR grade plywood is produced to give the desired shape and structure to the board by applying light pressure. The applied light pressure leaves in the core of the plate, which are called flaws, certain voids. The waterproof glue expands once it dries up, thereby gaining strength over time.
