AFCON FINAL; THE FINANCIAL REWARDS FOR THE PARTICIPATING NATIONS

The African cup of Nations will end today. It has been a very interesting tournament with lots of surprises and pressures from unexpected opponents.

Earlier before the start of the tournament, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) revealed the financial rewards for the participating Nations and it looks to me that there will be no loser at the end of the tournament.

According to the revelations, the prizes will be distributed as follows;

Winner will go with $ 7,000,000

Runner ups (that’s second and third ) will each go with $ 4,000,000

Semi Finalists will go with $ 2,500,000each

Quarter finalists will go with $ 1,300,000 each

Round of 16s’ will go with $ 800,000 each

The teams that came third in their groups but failed to qualify for the round of will 16 will go with $ 700,000 each

While the teams that came fourth in the group stages will go with $ 500,000 each

What I can not ascertain are the teams that meet all the categories whether their rewards will be accumulated or will only be judged with the highest point reaches, I believe someone can help us on the comment section.

But whatever is the case, you go home with something atleast to cater for your Nation expenses

Aside the numbers, the economy of the hosting country will improve and also participating partners will benefit handsomely from the tournament .

Is a WIN - WIN for everyone

Finally, by 9pm tonight, the super eagles 🦅 of Nigeria will lock horn with the Elephants of Ivory Coast to lift her 4th African Nations Cup Trophy 🏆

It will be a double victory by beating someone in his own country home to lift a Trophy
