MEET THE CHARACTER: Bailey 🐉

Who’s who in the LIVE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS sessions at HOLOBIONT? Meet Bailey (they/them), a streetwise survivor with a soft spot for friends and animal companions, played by Gaby (she/her)!

Bailey may be short in stature, but they’re never afraid to stand up for the people they care about. Growing up on the streets, they learned to survive by following vermin and strays around the city. Now they make a living doing odd jobs, but a yearning for adventure led them to a magnificent teacher and a whole new life beyond the streets. “Growing up on the streets may not be pretty, but it showed me kindness in hidden places and the bravery to move forward!”

Gaby is 27 and has been playing tabletop RPGs, mostly D&D 5e, for around five years. A longtime admirer of the game, she loves being part of the q***r community and is still discovering herself along the way. In her day-to-day life, she rotates between different jobs and currently works at a city farm. Come meet Bailey during the LIVE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS sessions at HOLOBIONT!

MEET THE CHARACTER: Runa Feng 🐉

Who’s who in the LIVE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS sessions at HOLOBIONT? Meet Runa Feng, a hard-hitting, soft-hearted paladin played by Robin Kissels!
Runa is fiercely devoted to their wife and will do anything to earn her love, which is given oh… so… sparingly. Because you know what they say: when you look at someone through rose-tinted glasses, all those red flags just look like flags.

Robin is a big-time history nerd and a big-time q***r, all wrapped up in one. They love being part of the q***r community and feel lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderful, loving group of people. And for Robin, there’s no better way to bring those worlds together than sitting around a table playing make-believe with a bunch of strangers. Come meet Runa during the LIVE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS sessions at HOLOBIONT!

MEET THE CHARACTER: Reed 🐉

Who’s who in the LIVE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS sessions at HOLOBIONT? Meet Reed, the party’s warlock, played by Davide! Reed might have read a little too much crime fiction and knows a little too little about real-world investigations. Fortunately, his spells and a very small pet dragon might just make up for what he lacks in detective skills.

Davide is a spaceship pilot (or, as boring people might say, “satellite operator”) and a lifelong nerd. He’s been playing RPGs for around 25 years and fell in love with game design along the way. These days, he spends his days observing our world and his evenings telling stories about others. In between, you might find him cooking, baking pizza or tending to his orchids. Come meet Reed during the LIVE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS sessions at HOLOBIONT!

MEET THE CHARACTER: Thoran Kellinbern 🐉

Who’s who in the LIVE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS sessions at HOLOBIONT? Meet Thoran Kellinbern, a half-elf Knowledge Domain Cleric played by Nix (she/they).
Thoran worships the elven deity of time and belongs to a clergy committed to making sure the mistakes of the past are never repeated. But after receiving a vision of his own disastrous future, he’s been given an extra duty: learning from the mistakes of a timeline that may never even come to pass. No pressure.

Nix is based in The Hague and has been playing D&D and other tabletop RPGs for around five years, with a lifelong love of imaginative escapism. Thoran is a revamped version of the very first D&D character Nix ever created. You can discover more of Thoran and Nix’s other characters through their art page: ✨Nix✨! Come meet Thoran during the LIVE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS sessions at HOLOBIONT!

MEET THE CHARACTER: Quincy Asmodopoulos 🐉

Who’s who in the LIVE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS sessions at HOLOBIONT? Meet Quincy Asmodopoulos (she/her), played by Niki Dicker (she/her). Quincy is a middle-aged tiefling conjuration wizard trying to make a living as a traveling magician in a world where people have actual magical abilities. She comes from a family with a questionable bloodline and has several questionable ex-wives.

Niki has been living in Rotterdam for the past few years with her partner and their two black cats. You might know her from the actual-play podcasts Geen Woorden Maar Draken, De Nederlandse D&D Podcast and Schaduwjagers, or her YouTube mini-series Doodwater. Come meet Quincy during the LIVE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS sessions at HOLOBIONT!

CALLING ALL adventurers, freaks, nerds and fantasy creatures! 🐉

For HOLOBIONT, our four-hour q***r happening at in The Hague, we’re looking for D&D players to join us for a very special live session.

On 29 & 30 October, 19:00–23:00, you’ll be playing Dungeons & Dragons alongside HOLOBIONT and a whole world of installations, performers and other strange things. We’re teaming up with to make this one big, exiting happening.

People can wander in, grab a comfy seat and watch your adventure unfold. So yes: you’ll be playing D&D in front of an audience. Expect an unusual table, unexpected encounters and a story that might take some very q***r turns.

You don’t have to be a D&D expert. You just need to love a good adventure, be comfortable playing in a semi-public setting and be ready to bring your whole q***r/fantasy self to the table.

Want to join the party?
