These close to 400-year-old (c. 1650) hand-painted Delft antique wall tiles depict a beautiful variety of stylised flowers, painted in lively shades of blue, green, and warm manganese.

Among the flowers are a Tulip, Carnation, and Fritillaria, all framed by the iconic ox-head corner motifs, one of the most recognisable corner decorations of the 17th century.

The tiles originate from the same firing and pottery, which gives the set a balanced and consistent appearance. The rich colours and decorative style are a lovely reflection of mid-17th-century Delft craftsmanship.

Each tile measures approximately 13 Γ— 13 cm (5.1” Γ— 5.1”) is around 1 cm (0.4") thick.

This charming set is now available to purchase directly through our website. Registered under inventory number WTS 236

We are happy to share this project we contributed to for the Mountain Drive project, designed by Tessa Platner.

Set within a beautiful Spanish Revival home in Santa Barbara, this kitchen features 140 of our original Delft tiles with the classic spider corner motif in manganese, dating back to around 1900. These early 20th-century tiles represent some of the first large-scale productions featuring solely corner motifs, giving them a more minimal and understated appearance while still offering historical authenticity, like seen in this project. The warm tones of the manganese pair beautifully with the wooden interior, creating a soft and timeless look.

Projects like this show how Delft tiles can complement a wide range of interiors, bringing character and craftsmanship while still feeling completely at home within the overall design.

This project was beautifully captured by Jenna Peffley and featured in RUE Magazine.

These classic Delft tiles depicting islands date back to the 19th century. At first glance, they appear as individual landscape scenes, but when placed together, they form small β€œisland” scenes. Some of them with a farmhouse, a windmill, a small village and occasionally with an animal, and they are decorated with the classic spider corner motif.

We currently have around 200 tiles (2.5m2 / 37 SF) available and with this amount we can easily compose balanced selections like the one shown.

These tiles are suitable for a range of interior installations, including kitchens, hallways, and feature walls. Also available in manganese.

Each tile measures approximately 13 Γ— 13 cm (5.1" Γ— 5.1") and is about 0.7-0.8 cm (0.3") thick. Registered under inventory number WTS 185

These antique Delft tiles date from the 17th century and depict small landscape scenes. We are fortunate to have quite a large quantity of these in stock.

Delft tiles are often known for their corner motifs, but in the second half of the 17th century, simpler designs became more popular, with tiles featuring a single scene in the center and no corner motifs.

Today, these tiles are among the most iconic Delft tiles. Their simplicity gives them a calm and timeless appearance, making them suitable for both classic and more contemporary interiors.

Ideal for a wide range of interior projects, such as a kitchen backsplash, fireplace, hallway or feature wall. They can also be combined with similar tiles depicting animals, figures and/or flowers and fruits to create a more varied and lively composition. These tiles are also available as reproductions (see last photo).

Each tile measures approximately 13 x 13 cm (5.1" x 5.1") and is registered under inventory number WTS 33.

We recently received these photos of a project we contributed to some time ago, and it is great to see the finished result.

For this kitchen backsplash, the client selected Delft landscape tiles dating from the second half of the 17th century. These tiles are without corner motifs, giving them a more minimal appearance while still offering a remarkable sense of character and detail.

As part of our curating process, we composed a tailored selection based on the client’s preferences, required quantity and presented in the intended layout. By sharing this selection through photos, the client provided us with feedback, allowing us to refine the composition until it fully met their expectations.

The tiles were then shipped to Oxford, Mississippi (USA), where they now form a beautiful focal point within this warm and inviting kitchen.

The tiles shown are 17th-century Landscapes (WTS 33) and are also available as reproductions.

This beautiful and rare set of 17th-century Dutch Delft tiles, dating from around 1630, is the most recent addition to our website!

Each tile shows a bird perched on a branch or small plant, painted in soft polychrome colors, with one tile featuring a flower as a subtle variation, all framed by the classic ox-head corner motif.

The set consists of twelve tiles, all from the same firing and most likely produced by a single pottery in the Dutch province of Zeeland.

These colorful bird tiles were especially popular in the early 17th century, when Delft painters started moving towards more detailed and expressive designs.

Originally used around fireplaces, they still work beautifully today as a panel or feature wall, adding color, character, and a lot of history to a space.

Each tile measures approximately 13 Γ— 13 cm (5.1” Γ— 5.1”) and about 1 cm (0.4”) thick.

A little throwback to a project we were happy to contribute to, featured on a while ago, and very much worth sharing.

The photo shows a beautiful kitchen backsplash in an apartment in Brooklyn Heights, designed by and of .

For this project they created a clean and timeless backsplash using our reproduction plain white tiles in the Colorful mix, made by .

One of the reasons this works so well is that the shades used for the reproduction tiles are based on our real antique plain white Delft tiles. Creating the most authentic Delft tile look with completely newly made tiles.

These beautiful Dutch antique wall tiles date from the 18th and 19th century, and we are fortunate to have quite a large quantity in stock.

The popularity of these large floral motifs started in the 18th century, when Delft tiles were no longer used only for kitchen walls but also found their way into entrance halls and main living spaces. These more expressive designs reflected the growing prosperity of Dutch households and a desire to decorate interiors with floral elegance.

Great to use for all kind of interior projects such as a hallway (wainscoting), fireplace, kitchen or as a statement wall. These tiles can easily be combined with plain white Delft tiles, small flowers (WTS 72) in blue or any other kind of antique Delft wall tile.

Each tile measures approximately 13 x 13 cm (5.1" x 5.1") and is registered under inventory number WTS 70.
