For over 35 years, MORGRIP® has pioneered the use of graphite seals in mechanical pipeline connectors — delivering leak-free performance in even the most demanding subsea and topside operations across the globe.

This sealing technology is DNV Type approved, making it the trusted choice for critical applications worldwide, and suited to high temperature, high pressure and the widest possible range of processed media including sour gas.

Recently, MORGRIP® graphite seals have been successfully deployed in a North Sea Carbon Capture and Storage project, with this service now added to the DNV Type approval.

Graphite is highly stable and, with correct storage and a proper maintenance, can maintain sealing performance over long periods. This suits emergency repair systems that must seal a wide range of process gases and fluids, where equipment may be stored for decades yet be ready for rapid deployment.

Last Friday, our team at Connector Subsea Solutions (CSS) Norway took part in the annual Football Shirt Friday, a fundraising initiative supporting Barnekreftforeningen (Norwegian Children’s Cancer Association).

In total, 20 colleagues wore their football shirts and donated to the cause. The day also included a social gathering and a penalty shootout in the office, bringing the team together in support of a good cause.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped raise money for an important cause! 🙌🎗️

🚨 Built, tested and shipped: 14" MORGRIP® diverless connectors for an urgent North Sea repair 🌊

The latest update on our 14" MORGRIP® diverless connector project sees both connectors now successfully tested and shipped to the client ahead of System Integration Testing (SIT) next month.

To support the campaign further, the same team of CSS technicians involved in assembling the connectors will be deployed offshore, bringing product familiarity and providing support during installation.

🔧Large diameter connectors with advanced monitoring technology – testing complete 🌊

We have completed testing on a 32" MORGRIP® connector as part of a wider project for 3 off 32" MORGRIP® connectors. One unit was shipped earlier this year for an urgent deployment in the middle east.

Designed with subsea pressure transducers for continuous seal monitoring and bespoke clad sealing features, the connectors were tailored to meet the client’s specific requirements.

The two remaining connectors are in final inspection and will be shipped as part of the client’s contingency stock.
