At FTSL, we are keen to work with project teams involved in new-build or remediation projects. Such collaboration often brings together a wide range of stakeholders, including.

Worldwide DMA Construction is a modular construction developer that trusted its certification testing programme to the FTSL team. 🧯

The first test was ✅ a full-scale test on the fire-rated wall system. This system is a custom-designed solution for the modular project that Worldwide DMA Construction is currently working on.

The 3000mm x 3000mm wall specimen successfully achieved FRR -/60/60. 🔥

Last week, the team carried out a fire test for one of the Australian suppliers of fire-rated , Locks, led by Graeme McGrath. 🔥

We were excited to host another as part of the Association of Building Compliance (ABC) 2025 Conference — Unified Compliance: Strengthening Standards Across the BWOF Industry.

This workshop brought together IQPs, Auckland Council inspectors and managers, specialised fire consultants, and other curious minds to:

👀 Get a behind-the-scenes look at the FTSL team's pre-test routine.

🧯 Learn what defines a doorset test failure.

🔍 Examine the doors before testing and predict their fire performance.

🔥 Witness the test and see how their predictions held up.

Although the tested doorset didn’t achieve an FRR, it didn’t disappoint the audience — instead, it sparked lively discussion and even inspired a cheerful photo session. 🎆

Thanks to everyone who joined us. We hope you enjoyed the experience, and we look forward to seeing you next time. 😊

The team at Pacific Doors NZ has been actively testing at FTSL over the past few years. Whether it’s for or , some things remain constant:

✅ Their commitment to efficient doorset design,

✅ A strong focus on compliance,

✅ A well-organised collaboration between their team and the testing lab.

We enjoy working with the Pacific Doors NZ team—especially Øijordsbakken. His Norwegian surname might be tricky to pronounce, but his professionalism, integrity, and work ethic more than compensate for this minor inconvenience.

Looking forward to seeing you on the test floor again soon, Pacific Doors NZ team!
