Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... right? Right?!

Let's be honest, some dogs have faces only a mother could love.

One ear pointing north, the other pointing south. Three teeth. One eye looking at you, the other looking for you.

And somehow they're absolutely perfect.

Ugliest Dog Day is a reminder that looks aren't everything. The scruffiest, weirdest-looking dogs are often the ones with the biggest personalities and the most love to give.

Besides, most dog owners think their dog is beautiful anyway. Even when everyone else is politely disagreeing.

๐ŸŽญ National Mascot Day โ€“ Wednesday 17 June - Respect my authoritah!

Every great organisation needs a mascot.

Some have eagles. Some have tigers. Some have giant fluffy animals dancing around sporting events.

We have Little Steve.

Part mascot. Part marketing manager. Part deal hunter. Part professional troublemaker [๐จr i๐ฌ ๐ญh๐št G๐ซu๐ฆp๐ฒ?]

Over the years Little Steve has become the unofficial face of WBS Henderson. Bringing hot deals, questionable jokes, random facts, and occasionally enough sarcasm to keep the marketing department employed.

National Mascot Day is about recognising the characters that bring businesses, communities, schools, and events to life.

And while other mascots might have fancy costumes and choreographed dance routines, Little Steve prefers stirring up trouble on Facebook and finding ways to save customers a few bucks.

Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear hi-vis.

What a bloody good game that was.

The lads can hold their heads up high after battling to a 2-2 draw against Iran in their opening FIFA World Cup 2026 match.

A special congratulations goes to Eli Just, who etched his name into New Zealand football history by becoming the All Whites' leading goalscorer at a FIFA World Cup.

And here's a stat that Kiwi football fans can be very proud of...

New Zealand remains undefeated at the FIFA World Cup.
This draw means that NZ now remains undefeated at a World Cup match since 1982 !!

No other nation can say that.

The job isn't done yet, but that's a fantastic start to the tournament and plenty to build on heading into the next match.
