Materiality has the power to completely change how we experience a building.

Colour. Texture. Shadow. Reflectivity. Depth.

The final façade creates the architectural expression, while the layers behind it help deliver the required performance. For us, great façade design is where those two conversations come together.

Project Spotlight | Selwyn Court

Formerly known as Bishopscourt, Selwyn Court features 18” Treated Cedar Shingles, bringing natural warmth, texture and character to the building. The variation between individual cedar shingles creates a beautifully layered finish, demonstrating why natural materials continue to have such a strong place in architecture.

A great example of materiality becoming an integral part of the architectural expression.

When should you start talking to us about the building enclosure? Earlier than you might think.

Getting our technical team involved like Jordyn, our Design & Technical Manager, while the wall build-up is still being developed means we can look at how the different layers and details work together before everything is locked in. It’s all part of helping make the journey from design to construction a little simpler.

Got a question? Talk to the TBA team.

What sits behind the façade matters.

ENCLOSURE™ Sheathing is covered by BRANZ Appraisal 1318, giving architects, specifiers and project teams access to independently assessed information when considering the system for their projects.

It’s another part of our approach to making enclosure specification clearer and better connected.

Our new Passive Fire Protection Brochure is here.

Passive Fire Protection plays a critical role in slowing the spread of fire and smoke, protecting occupants and supporting the performance of the building during a fire event.

Our new PFP Brochure brings together technical information, key fire performance principles and solutions available through The Building Agency, including BlazeBarrier and ENCLOSURE™ Stonewool.

It’s been created to help architects, specifiers, builders and project teams better understand the role these systems play and make informed decisions during design and specification.

Take a look at the new brochure, or talk to our technical team about the requirements of your next project.
