Our Story

Yamaha Central opened in 2015 and is owned and operated by Cromwell locals, Blake and Carla McPhee. Located in Cromwell, the growing hub of Central Otago we are a Yamaha motorcycle and Husqvarna power product dealership - brands which we are proud to represent and sell. We stock a range of the latest Yamaha road, dirt and farm motorcycles as well as genuine Yamaha parts in our purpose built showroom.

Our qualified workshop team bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience so you can trust that your pride and joy will be in safe and capable hands. Don’t be fooled by our name, we are available to service and repair any make and model of motorcycle, ATV/ROV, jet ski, golf cart and small motor product. Our parts department are also able to locate any parts and/or accessory that you may require for just about any brand of motorcycle! We offer a pick up and delivery service as well as on site servicing across Central Otago and Southern Lakes for your convenience.

We are very active within the off road racing scene which is of great importance to us. Blake is regularly racing in a number of motocross, cross country and enduro events in the lower South Island which he thoroughly enjoys and we are currently sponsoring and supporting young, up and coming local riders in their racing career which is a joy to watch and be a part of. We also support local events and clubs where possible and Blake is the current president of the Central Otago Motorcycle Club, so is very hands on when planning club events. Our two young daughters are motorbike mad so no doubt we will be spending more of our time at the local motocross track and at future racing events chasing them around!
