Hi Folks, just an FYI. I'm heading to a market in Cambridge next Sunday 13th at the Rugby grounds. I'm taking my
granddaughter to give her an opportunity to sell her wares and I thought that seeing I'm going to be there, that I would go back in time some 10 years or so so and makes some glass spires. I have four and they are one offs as I had forgotten how tiring it was tripping around the op shops buying glass plates ,bowls and vases and other interesting glass objects. Ten years makes a big difference!! Anyway, these cannot be couriered,so if anyone should be interested it's pick up only or from the market. PLEASE NOTE, The yellow Fantail spire is $250. The Blue Green spire is $199 ,The Pink spire is glued together so is one piece, $199, The Black and Lime Green spire (taller) $250. Just a note to those who haven't seen them before, apart from the pink ospire the others have a aluminium pole through the centre which goes into the ground and the individual pieces are threaded onto the centre pole through a hole I have drilled through the base.

Heya everyone, this is something I thought I'd have a go at, but I'm not happy with my soldering and it was a pain to make, so it won't be repeated . So not not for sale. Sorry if you felt a bit nauseous watching the video, I decided it would show up better from the other side so walked around it.

Breaking News !!!! Tracey has made the highest offer ( thanks also to Glennis for making offers as well). I am sure that Orphans Aid will be thrilled to get the payment to help in their work. One of the things they are doing at present is looking after children from Ukraine who are without parents and have been taken to another country nearby. It's so good to hear as so many children in these cases become "stolen children" kidnapped into the s*x trade. Wonderful to know of an organisation-among others- who are doing this wonderful work. Thank you again Tracey!

Morning! I'm going to do something different. I finished this yesterday and the glue holding it in the driftwood needed to dry overnight, so have taken photos. Smaller pieces- this took over 6 hours to make- are seldom made by glass artists because we know that folk don't appreciate the time, materials, the donation of DNA from cut fingers from handling little fiddly bits, and therefore can't see the value in it. So.... I have decided to put it up to the highest offer. Keeping in mind that you are getting a very unique piece, this is only the second one I have made on driftwood, and that ALL proceeds are going to Orphans Aid a NZ organisation.
Let the fun begin. Edited to add that the offer is $220. if the offer isn't upped by tomorrow 9 a.m. it's Tracey's. SOLD!!!

Hi, I've decided to put this up for sale, it was going to be a group of three pieces on an aluminum black 'ladder'. However between me and the drop saw things happened and well, ...let's just say that it's back to the drawing board. The ladder may still happen but the size will be smaller. This piece measures 25cm by 25.5 cms. It will be fine outside as long as doesn't blow around in the wind. The last photo shows it on the white wall inside so still colorful out of the sun. $125+ $15 courier.
