Tom Clearwater put his new Ultra G4 + 180° Rotating Base to the test. Fitted with an UltraGlide Rockspike kit. His words: "Not easy going through those stumps, but she made light work of it. Wouldn't get them in with the old one."

Manual vs Hydraulic positioning on your Rockspike Extractor Kit. Which one's right for you?

Manual positioning is more cost-effective and works well if you're not using it every day. But get it onto steep terrain, and moving it around can become difficult.
If you're fencing on steep terrain or using the Rockspike on a regular basis, hydraulic positioning is a game-changer. It's particularly valuable on far-side mounted setups. Instead of reaching around under the block to pull the spike into place, the hydraulics position it for you
