🍓 Strawberries in the garden bed this time!

Before planting, I gave the soil a little boost with sheep pellets and Seaweed Tonic a few days ahead of time to help create a healthy foundation for the plants. 🌱

A common question is how many plants to buy. A good starting point is around 5–10 plants per person if you're looking for fresh berries to enjoy at home, but let's be honest... strawberries rarely make it all the way back to the kitchen! 😆

A few beginner-friendly tips I've learned:
🌾 A little straw goes a long way for keeping fruit clean and helping retain moisture.
✂️ Snip off the first flowers your plants produce to encourage stronger roots and a bigger harvest later on.
☀️ Plant in a sunny spot and keep them well watered while they establish.

For this project I used: 🐑 Sheep pellets 🌿 Seaweed Tonic 🌾 Straw mulch 🍓 Strawberry plants

🍓 First-time strawberry grower here, learning as I go! Part 1 🍓

I have planted my very first strawberry plants into pots and I'm excited to see how they do. 🌱

One tip I've recently learned is that pistachio shells can be reused around your plants as a natural slug and snail deterrent. 🐌

Now is a great time to get your strawberry plants in so they can establish strong roots and get settled before the growing season really kicks into gear.

For this project I used:
🍓 Strawberry plants
🌿 Seaweed Tonic
🐑 Sheep pellets
🌾 Straw mulch

We also stock strawberry food and pest control options if you're looking to give your plants a helping hand.
