Check out these photos and this great example of our in-house design and build capability coming together for the new Hanley’s Farm Primary School project 🏗️

Working with Southbase Construction, the wider VIP team was involved across multiple stages of the project, with VIP Consult providing the engineering, VIP Steel supplying the structural steel, and VIP Frames & Trusses manufacturing five large prefabricated modules and wall panels at our Christchurch facility.

Some of the prefabricated wall panels measured up to 15 metres long and weighed around 3.5 tonnes, while each of the five completed modules came in at approximately 19 to 20 tonnes.

Before leaving Christchurch, Smith Cranes completed a quick test lift at our yard to confirm the module weights and rigging requirements. The modules were then transported south to Queenstown, ready for installation on site!

Over the school holidays, all five modules were successfully lifted into position, marking another great milestone for the project.

Built in Christchurch and delivered to Queenstown 😮‍💨

Recently, six architecturally designed homes were transported from our Christchurch yard and installed above Lake Wakatipu as part of the Middleton Road development in Queenstown 🏗️🏔️

Our team at VIP Frames & Trusses manufactured the homes off-site before they made the journey south, helping bring this impressive project to life.

A huge credit to James Clarke Property and all the contractors involved. It's great to see the project featured by Stuff and even better to see the homes now taking shape on site.
