DON'T FORGET THE DOOR SWING. 👀

A door can be the right size, right style and right finish...

…and still be wrong if the handing isn't correct.

Before ordering, check:

➡️ Which way does it open?
➡️ Where are the hinges?
➡️ Does it clash with another door?
➡️ Does it interfere with cabinetry?
➡️ Does it work with the room layout?

It's a small detail that can cause a very annoying problem if it's missed.

Always check your handing before ordering.

That's construction. Things happen.

The important part is letting your door supplier know before production wherever possible.

Once an order has gone into production, changes aren't always straightforward.

A quick email or phone call early can potentially save:

BUILDER TIP: LOOK AFTER YOUR DOORS BEFORE THEY'RE INSTALLED.

Doors are a finished product — so don't treat them like something that can just be left wherever there's space on site.

Where possible, keep them:

✔️ Flat
✔️ Fully supported
✔️ Dry
✔️ Protected from damage
✔️ Away from excessive moisture

Good storage helps reduce the risk of bowing, twisting and damage.

You've already waited for them to arrive.

Don't let poor storage undo all that work. 😉

Our process generally looks like:

📏 Site measure / dimensions confirmed
↓
💬 Details & hardware confirmed
↓
📝 Order placed with suppliers
↓
🏭 Doors manufactured / prepared
↓
🚚 Delivery organised
↓
🔨 Ready for installation

There are plenty of little details in between — and that's exactly where good coordination makes a difference.

We're big believers that the more sorted the door package is before it reaches site, the smoother the install becomes.

Most door issues we see on site start small.

A frame being out by just a few mm doesn’t look like much at framing stage — but by the time the door goes in, it becomes trimming, packing, or adjustment time no one planned for.

Getting it right early saves time later.
